It was fun watching this after 3 houses and Engage, and it was nice to see most of these points worked in 3H. I also laughed at #1 given Engage feels like its design priority was pander, pander, pander. Seriously it feels like IS was working on Heroes 2 and Nintendo told them make it bigger for console

Certainly doesn't help that giving Bows can be bad for Axe units can hurt them on maps with several mages given their low Resistance. Also would rather make Garcia a Hero for two reasons. 1. It helps patch up his Speed. And 2. He starts with a C-Rank in Swords compared to an E in Bows (Weird since he said he knew Neimi's grandfather in his support conversations with her) 9. That bit of backstory with Frederick's childhood trauma of being attacked by a wolf helps explain him being an armored unit from a story perspective. Being strong against attacks from beasts like said wolf from the story. 8. Eh. I would go with Azura now for favorite Dancer (I know. Game after this video came out) because I like my units being able to fight back (Funny how what happens to her at end of the two main paths is foreshadowed in her supports with Shigure) 7. Funny how Rennac is the only Beowulf style unit you can get for free. After grinding up Lararchel (Still prefer her support conversations with Innes over his with Eirika) 6. I'd go with Neimi instead of because of one thing. Recruitment time. You get her relatively early in Sacred Stones while Rath doesn't rejoin in the main story of FE7 until a good chunk of the way through. Which means training him in Lyn's tale compared to say Dorcas or Matthew feels like a waste of time. 5. I prefer Ewan's supports with Saleh. Going from Saleh mentioning stuff he did in the past that irritated him. To entrusting his student with his stuff should he fall in battle. And Ewan becomes determined to not let that happen. 4. Prefer making Ricken a Dark Knight as well. Funny how Dark Knight arguably became better in Fates because that title has only ONE dark tome. 3. It's funny that you can use this class to cheese Medeus in Shadow Dragon with forged weapons. 2. And then Fates gave the class Master of Arms & Merchant as promotions. Also funny how Echoes hints at what classes to make: Gray, Tobin, & Kliff (Gray a Mercenary due to slashing wood with Alm. Tobin an Archer due to practicing arrows. And Kliff a Mage due to scorching a wall with a Fire spell) 1. Funny how Engage made this class into the Falcon Knight of Awakening and Fates due to having Staff access & a skill that makes terrain easier to traverse.

i dont think its really fair to rank dancers on a bad or good list, they work just too diferently then the other units, and most people will just rank them based on whatever they know how to use them or not

In my personal opinion, Azure Moon will always be the best path. I simply love Dimitri's story. 2nd would be Silver Snow.

Lysithia should at least be an A if not an S. She can drop the DK with one dark spike spell. In fact shes the ONLY character that can one shot him, and she can do so without any grinding....Not just him, but alot of demonic beasts and many others. Best mage in the game. Very good video though, and everyone will like what they like. But there are some who don't realize what a nuke that little lady actually is.

I just finished FE7 a few weeks ago on Eliwood normal mode and i ended up with an incredible Erk. He could dodgetank everything physical and took no dmg from anything magical, also he destroyed everything he encounterd. I loved him. After finishing the game, i looked into tier lists and stuff and saw that he was not that good of an unit. As i started Hector Mode after this, i was much more critical about him and other units. Every level up he didn´t get his magic up, i got angry about him now, because now i knew about his bad stat growth and how he compete with other mages. I still didn´t bench him, because you get not that much magic users early and i invested a lot of EP in him before i got Lucius (which starts at level 3 2 chapters later) and Cannas (which was quite the same level as Erk at the same chapter). However he ended up not that bad, i would say he performed just like before in the end, but my personal "fun" wasn´t the same, because there was allways this voice, that said that other units are much better. What i want to say: I think you can damage your own experience if you look to deep into it and you care too much about it.

Great vid. I love all the routes. Blue lion is my favourite because i love the story. Black Eagles have the best characters, but even though i adore Edelgard, i simply cant imagine Byleth siding with the flame emperor after they were complicit (from his/her POV) in the murder of Jeralt. It's just not a credible path. Rhea may be suss but she hasnt actually done anything as bad as murdering a parent at this point (considering that Byleth doesn't know about the experiments Rhea did on his/her mother at this point).

My favorite normal weapons are Brave weapons and Killer weapons, mainly due to being good job at doing killing harder enemies much faster, especially bosses who just don't die on the higher difficulty.

Idea for rewriting Makalov: have him start out as usual (selfish, frivolous, etc), but over the course of the games he learns the true meaning of bonds and companions, and he realizes that he feels much better when he's around people. With this new mindset, he only gambles when others are around to play and cares more about fun than constantly winning. It could show an uphill battle against getting over an addiction or something

Editing is really good, visuals are very helpful- but after the seventh "joke followed by character mentioned saying their voice line loudly" it got a little grating. : ( That aside, everything else about the video is top notch. By far the most comprehensive comparison of the 3 1/4 routes I've ever watched!

Not that it makes a huge difference but the lords do get unique personal skills, at least after the time skip. Claude gets pass, Dimitri gets avoid 20+ when at full HP, and Edelgard gets Res +4 when she waits. Not a huge deal, but I feel clumping them all together as equal is slightly inaccurate, since Claude’s skill is very easy to take advantage of (especially since he’s a flyer, he can basically go anywhere) while the other two are much more situational

A few ideas of crossovers I like to see happen: A Fire Emblem X Zelda crossover, A Smash Bros RPG game, hell, even Mushroom Kingdom Hearts (a Nintendo crossover in the style of Kingdom Hearts would work)

I think Elincia's Gambit is very dependent on if you like defense chapters at all. It goes all in on that sense. But the chapter is practically quite stellar because it does reward your push. And you are very much able to do so. ...Also somehow one of the most fun chapters when randomizing the game. Actually hard as nails but still possible, even with pavise hawks as enemies.

My personal favorite is Crimson flower. It was my first playthrough and I just naturally did all of the requirements to unlock that route. That twist of being able to join Edelgard and fight the church was mind blowing at 4am.

For me, it's clearly Blue Lions. Everything goes as it should. You punish Edelgard for causing a war, and Fodlan can be overseen by both the kingdom and the church, under the leadership of Dimitri and Byleth respectively.

Another thing for Nintendo crossover game is Nintendo ultimate alliance, using marvel ultimate alliance style, but this time calling Nintendo characters, starter Mario, Kirby, pikachu and Link. Nintendo villains invade the Nintendo universe and Nintendo hero have been called and travel around to save Nintendo universe.

Can we do a list where the fire emblem lords/main characters each have pokemon teams. I would like to see what you think, especially if you are restricted by generation based on release date of each fire emblem game (if you want). I am trying to give Lucina a pokemon generation 5 team.

Tbh I kind of like Corrin. They are kind of boring, but I kind of like their ignorance and how that plays into certain supports. I find it a bit relatable, and kind of standout compared to lords like Eliwood or Marth

There's one thing Lady Rhea (Serios) and Professor Hojo (From Final Fantasy 7) have in common they both look and seem harmless, but they both have bad intentions with their subjects.

As much as I loved Awakening's story, I agree, the story was good but not cohesive. In my opinion the game's message to the player is to not dehumanize your enemies, they are people too with their own problems and reasons for acting, even if you don't understand them, as seen in multiple chapters, but I thought was particularly present in the chapters when you kill Mustafa and Yen'fay. Everyone struggles with and for purpose, we see that with Robin, Chrom and Lucina. Robin struggles against his memory loss, creating a sense of detachment for others until the big reveal where he struggles against what he was intended for. Chrom struggles to be a good leader, he has a bit of imposter syndrome in Act 1. Lucina struggles against a future she's trying to avert, but fails to at certain turns. The problem with Awakening is that it fails to deliver this message in a meaningful way. Like you said, it could have expanded on Chrom's father. Could have made Gangrel a more sympathetic villain instead of the more-or-less power hungry, mustache twirling villain he is who was manipulated easily by the Grimleal. I would argue they keep Act 2, the Valm arc, but make changes to mix it into the main plot. For example, there was that one Valmese tactician who kept blackmailing people, it would have been so easy to put him in league with Plegia after Walhart's death, but he just died in the same chapter. They could've portrayed the Grimleal as even more cunning by having them manipulate Walhart through that tactician into invading Ylisse in an attempt to both weaken Ylisse and take care of the Valmese threat, as Walhart already had his sights set on destroying Grima once and for all. Overall I think Awakening was a great game with a good story. The only thing that holds the story back are the missed opportunities that would have made it great.
